Our institution is a mixed private school (Grade 1 – 12) aimed at creating a holistic educational and co-curricular experience for our students.  Highlands College is home to a rich 65-year history, being a pioneer within the education sphere in Sri Lanka. Our school operates under the management of Sujatha Vidyalaya, Nugegoda, an institute with a vast array of experiences within the private school educational sector.

Established in the year 1960, we offer a range of educational services from early childhood education (Sujatha Preschool, Nugegoda/ Maharagama), primary education (Grade 1 – 5), and secondary education (Grade 6 – 12). The school currently caters to Edexcel London Advanced Level examinations offering Mathematics, Science, and ICT, while continuing to cater to the local Ordinary Level and Advanced Level examinations in Sinhala and English medium.

At Highlands College, we are hyper focused on creating an accessible learning environment for early professional development, while using technology as an aid to foster the daily learning experience. Our current classroom experience inculcates a niche learning environment with a student to faculty ratio of 15:1 within the organization. The low student to faculty ratio allows our teachers to focus on developing the next generation of leaders by providing a vast array of knowledge to our students by fostering improvements in educational and modern practical learning skills.

Our curriculum drives the integration of STEAM and robotics technology at a young age to foster independent thinking. The drive to create equality in learning is derived from our school motto.
