Poson Dansala

The Poson Dansala at Highlands College is a heartfelt event that embodies the spirit of giving and compassion in celebration of Poson Poya. As part of this tradition, the school community organizes a “dansala”, where students and staff serve meals to those in need, fostering a sense of generosity and kindness. The event teaches the importance of selflessness and community service, reflecting the core values of Buddhism. The Poson Dansala not only honors Sri Lanka’s cultural and religious heritage, but also encourages students to actively engage in acts of charity and goodwill.

Established in 1960, Highlands College is a Government approved Private School. Our niche educational experience provides STEAM based Practical Learning, National Level Athletics, and a range of  Co- Curricular aids to create a holistic learning experience.
