Esala Poya (Sil Program)

Esala Poya at Highlands College is a reflective and spiritually enriching event that celebrates the significance of Esala Poya, which commemorates key events in the life of Lord Buddha, including his first sermon. Highlands College observes this occasion with meaningful activities such as meditation sessions, devotional singing, and discussions on Buddhist teachings. Esala Poya offers students an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Buddhist principles and foster a sense of peace and mindfulness. The event promotes spiritual growth and encourages the school community to reflect on the values of compassion and wisdom.
